Hello, yes the waves where massive. A jet ski was out doing tow ins. Only saw one surfer actually paddle into one of the big sets. Easly double overhead. A helicopter hovered overhead for a short while, maybe they where filming. The point car park was totally full, loads of spectators. After a while no one managed to get back to the line up, the sweep was huge. Got some footage on my mobile telecommunications network system, i will buy a caple and upload it, if anyone is interested. |

Hello, yes, i went body surfing today at Sharpes near Lennox Head. It was big and messy. A wave picked me up and smashed me into the sandbank. It was so powerfull i couldn't do anything. I have a cut chin and swollen lips now. My girlfriend Anna gave me some Arnica and it seems to be down now, the swelling. I'm not going body surfing again when it's big and messy. |

Went to surf Boulders this afternoon with a surf instructor friend - Fletch. It was pretty massive. We paddled out through the channel at the bottom of the cliff on the 'go' signal from Sarah. I was sucked round and dumped on a large rock formation but somehow didn't touch it. I was too concentrated on staying alive to be scared. Fletch was paddling like mad and not looking back, so i knew something was up. Then a huge set came in and we started getting pushed towards the cliffs. I freaked out as i was getting knackered, so i surfed in lying down on my board and narrowly missed a few boulders. Fletch carried on paddling out, and managed to get some solid waves as the sun went down. A few people came to check it out but no one else was mad enough to paddle in. So well done master Fletchos! good effort. Also thanks to the sea bird that said hello to me, good to know other life forms are there too. And thanks to Sarah the signaller. |
